Feeding The Hungry in a World of Plenty
There is enough food in the world to feed everyone, yet 25,000 people, including 10,000 children, die every day due to hunger, and hunger-related disease.
It’s a food crisis that means many millions of women, men and children wake up hungry, and go to bed hungry. Their hunger simply doesn’t end. And as this lack of healthy food eats away at their bodies, their immune systems become less able to deal with everyday illnesses. A situation that disproportionately affects those least able to deal with it – the young and old.
But it doesn’t have to be this way, for your support will help provide food aid that will save lives today.
£60 will provide a family with nutritious food for a month
£120 will feed 2 families for a month
When the Individual Starves, the Community Suffers
We have an appetite for change, for addressing the hunger crisis, and luckily, we also have You. For, with your support, since 1991, we have put food on the tables of millions of ordinary folk. Those innocent individuals pay the highest price during unstable times.
With many millions still requiring food aid - from the people of Yemen who teeter on the brink of famine, with 80% of the population requiring humanitarian aid, to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan, and the displaced in Iraq - our food distribution projects continue to expand.
We, therefore, ask you to once again work with us by donating so we can continue saving lives today. And for years to come.
